It’s one of my favorite desserts this time of year; it’s full of rich, creamy flavors and incredibly simple to make. It’s sweet, tangy, smooth, and full of caramel flavor, making it an instant hit for parties or a cozy night at home. Some of my other favorite easy entertaining recipes for this time of year are Pumpkin Mousse, Pumpkin Bread, Apple Pie Bars, Iced Oatmeal Cookies, and Apple Spice Cake. This recipe doesn’t require much, which we love! It’s simple but big on flavor.
Cream cheese: for that cheesecake flavor, you’ll need cream cheese softened to room temperature. For the best flavor, go for the full-fat cream cheese. Cool whip: buy the extra creamy kind if you can find it! Brown sugar: I love the caramelized flavor the brown sugar adds. Dark brown is recommended. Vanilla bean paste: The specks of vanilla bean paste make this dip tasty and pretty. If you don’t have any paste, vanilla extract works just as well. All the extras: flaky sea salt, apples, Nilla wafers, graham crackers, pecans, etc.
Variations
Add Crunch: Consider adding toffee bits or candied pecans on top. Spice it up: Sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg in the cheesecake layer for an extra touch of fall flavor. Dip Pairings: While apple slices are a classic choice, you can serve this dip with ginger snaps or cinnamon pita chips.
Storage
If covered and stored in an airtight container, this cheesecake dip will last 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator. Keep all toppings on the side until just before serving the dip.
