My Ritz Cracker Christmas Cookies are a super festive and really easy-to-make holiday treat. They have Ritz Crackers as their base, filled with smooth and creamy peanut butter, dunked in melted white chocolate and decorated with cheerful red and green sprinkles. These Buckeye Cookies and Peanut Butter Cup Cookies are chocolate peanut butter fan favorites, too! You will love the slightly salty and crisp texture of the crackers, the rich and nutty flavors of the peanut butter and how it compliments the sweetness of the melted chocolate. It’s a perfect contrast of textures and flavors and the final touch of holiday sprinkles makes them an excellent choice for Christmas parties or holiday gatherings.
Ritz Crackers: these crackers work perfectly for this easy to make holiday dessert. They have a light and flaky texture and this melt-in-your-mouth quality that I think makes them so popular. They have a mild, buttery taste and the perfect amount of saltiness. Ghirardelli white chocolate melting wafers: these wafers melt easily in the microwave so there is no fuss over melting over a double boiler or risk of burning the chocolate. It melts easily in a minute or 2 in the microwave. If you can’t find the melting wafer, I recommend melting regular white chocolate chips with some coconut oil so you get a nice and smooth melted white chocolate. Peanut butter: Choose a creamy peanut butter or any nut butter of choice. I usually use Skippy! Holiday sprinkles: makes them festive and fun!
Expert Tips
Choose quality chocolate and peanut butter for the best results. Melt the chocolate properly so it stays smooth and glossy. When dipping or spreading the chocolate onto the crackers, aim for an even coat. Too much chocolate can overpower the other flavors, and too little won’t provide enough coverage. Keep in mind that chocolate can melt at room temperature. If you’re serving these cookies at a party, make sure they stay cool enough to maintain their texture and appearance. Clear a large space in your kitchen for preparation. Having enough room to dip, decorate, and set the cookies will make the process more efficient and enjoyable.
